Application efficiency and uniformity

Growers need to irrigate larger areas with less water, so they can maintain profitability in the face of decreasing water availability and increasing costs.
Valmont (the Valley manufacturer) design their own spray nozzles - specifically for mechanised equipment. This means:

• Precise computerised spacing of nozzles - from 0.76 to 2.74m - ensure uniformity
• Operating pressures as low as 6 psi means significant energy savings
• Chemical usage is reduced in chemigation applications

Three levels of control modules

Valley supply a modular control panel system that is upgradeable as needs change over time. They can also be fiited to non-Valley units. The three modules are:

• Standard Control Panel - basic operations
• C:A:M:S Select - can be customised to your specific needs with 20 diagnostic/status displays, voltage shutdown, stop in slot, end of field auto-reverse, low pressure options etc.
• C:A:M:S Pro - programmable with full telemetry monitoring

Drive trains

Valley drive trains are ideal for Australian conditions and corrosive water. Gearbox seals turn with the shaft, forming a positive interface and keeping water out. Electric drive motors are built stronger than other irrigation drive motors, and use less energy.

Structures

Spans are available to cover 33.2m - 62.5m. Truss rod and pipeline arches maintain even load distribution, and are heavily engineered.

Pivots are fully braced but with some flex enabling spans to adapt to variations in terrain. Corrosion resistant stainless steel sleave, triple-lip rotation seal. Positive contact of brushes to collector core ring, means an even transfer of power to the drive motors.
